Our Founder

Ignite Nebraska was founded by Joni Wheeler alongside many team members at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska. Together, they built a program to elevate untapped talent and create real access to high-paying, high-demand careers.
Our model focuses on harnessing the strength of partnerships to eliminate employment barriers and create pathways to financial stability. Today, Joni supports the Ignite Nebraska team as advisor, connector, and mentor to all who cross her path.
