Ignite Nebraska is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — not a staffing agency, not a for-profit program. We're a free training and coaching organization that builds your skills, connects you to employer partners who are actively hiring, and supports you through onboarding. Every program is fully funded by foundations, corporate sponsors, and individual donors. The job offer is yours to earn — we make sure you're ready.

Builds professional skills, workplace confidence, and soft skills. Completers are interview-ready for entry-level roles — and may continue into Ignite Tech, Ignite Health, or Ignite Works based on availability and fit.

6-month paid apprenticeship · Earn while you train

A paid IT apprenticeship with two tracks. You earn a wage throughout training and work toward a full-time job offer with an employer partner. Availability based on employer demand.

No — and we're upfront about that. What we guarantee: free training, a dedicated Navigator, and real introductions to employer partners who are actively hiring. Hiring decisions rest with employers. The large majority of our graduates land roles — because they've done the work to earn them.

Nothing. Our programs are 100% free for every participant. No fees, no catch. We're funded through foundations, corporate sponsorships, and individual donors.

You must be 19 or older, proficient in English, have at least two years of work experience, and have the necessary identification to secure employment (driver's license, birth certificate, social security card). All programs are subject to acceptance.

10x10 is a 5-week career readiness accelerator — great for building confidence and professional skills, and the starting point for most participants. After completing 10x10, participants may advance into Ignite Tech (paid IT apprenticeship), Ignite Health (healthcare certifications), or Ignite Works (trades, coming 2027) based on availability and fit. Availability means programs run when employer partners have active hiring needs. Fit is assessed during your Navigator interview. Your Navigator helps you figure out the right next step.
